Big fridge in front of line double doors had to add refrigerant to unit and clean condenser was running high. Running good now.

Honestly over it today replaced electrical outlet for fryers per Casco request saying it was bad wasn’t the problem missing a leg of power took apart breaker panel diagnosed not the breaker so somewhere between plug and breaker lost a whole leg of power went int andul system found the lost leg that fell out of its connector fixed that and then boom still missing a leg but now my outlet has full power diagnosed bad power plug replaced that all fine and dandy went to check my contactor and tiny little 2 inch by 2 inch space shorted my probes and blew one up so rip but fryer is working and all set so that’s cool

-Combed through qingoven put into service mode tested all the feature amp rating were all the exact same which makes me to believe tbh their isn’t an issue but never the less kept combing through it the only component that can start to go bad and make the amp reading similar is magnetrons did couple more test on them tested out fine told the store to keep an eye on it because once the magnetron fully goes bad they’ll notice drastically

February 13, continue to work on machine from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Had to replace cap tubes. Put unit under vacuum recover all refrigerant. Add refrigerant back in all day project. Still having low pressure issues sent Waylon detailed instructions on what I did. Thanks, Art.

-Had to come out here to get the dumbo at Kamco certain measurements again even after I sent him like every possible photo of a measurement and he responded with 20 questions 5 days after the email like talk about inconvenience

Muffin toaster has a fan on the way out / super duty wasn’t running when I arrived pulled out deep cleaned with dis sprayer and it kicked on after a little ordering a new one to store just in case  

-Diagnosed grill bad latch switch you can tell it’s bad cause when pressing a switch typically hear the clicking of it but this switch can be pressed dow but never makes the full connection 
Going to order 2 and replace both since getting at the switch takes a lot of work and don’t wanna do one a month from now both switches physically look to be in very bad shape switch thas bad is snapped in half 

-The gauges on the co2 tank and to the coke tank were dead and someone adjusted the 65psi regulator to like 100 so it blew the coke tank and they also had a bad tank lid and co2 connector. So in all replaced pressure relief, two gauges, tank lid, co2 connector, and adjusted regulator properly. Now a healthy happy store!

-the problem was the ice drain that it was clogged that why a lot of water in the floor

-Scariest moment of my life😅 i was troubleshooting the hand dryer and i replaced the board, sensor and heating element. When i went yo connect the live canle holly sparks. I jumped back like a monkey but i got it to work. Seconf time idk how but the heating element went baf aswell. I got pictures to prove i connected everything correct

-fixed 2 of them that were like bent. 
-also police came looking for somethigb so i gave them my phone so they can look thru the camera

FCB barrel 1 refrigeration issue I believe strongly hot gas solenoid is leaking forced solenoids open and closed and the barrel actually started working so gonna replace both valves which is a pretty extensive process gonna probably take a full day and then for fcb barrel 2 had to recalibrate Coke into it and test BRIX levels took a while to do that

-ABS arm stuck down, came unscrewed from the arm all set

-Oven heating error nobody on the store knew about it so did a once over it all found nothing major sticking out found an element not being used because the wrong outlet is being supplied which means only 2/3 of the oven is heating which is probably where they saw a problem from but more like a hiccup since the oven has been working fine besides that only fix I see if this becomes more of a problem is change the electrical
-Fixed back door looks like it was kicked in stripped multiple screws in brand new push bar and bent door frame fixed the push bar and monted it with like 6 screws way more hardware can’t fix the bent frame door closes fully on it’s own

-Grill had a broken belt shorted on the element causing the relays to also blow so needed new belt and relays installed did food safety after and sat with it for a couple mins to make sure relays didn’t go again

Fuck these fry master cabinets absolute nightmare says RANDOMLY display board 1 bad swapped the displays to see if issue followed then was like only thing besides that is the master control board swapped those seems to fix it and then found out that it didn’t which is because a random display strip can randomly give the error as it’s going bad so there’s no way to actually find out which one it is I think I narrowed it down to side 1 so replaced those 3 which they are the most used strips also needs a new ribbion cable 

-was going to do oven install but this is the only one in the company that is single phase. Can’t convert it becuase the breaker still too small. Will probably have electrician come out to switch to 3 phase

-repaired backup co2 regulator. Someone set it all the way high and stripped the knob so was blowing out the relief valve. While doing that I noticed that co2 was in constant demand. Found the frappe switches swapped, so none of the bags were able to pump and the empty ones kept pumping becuase they didn’t have a bag. This is probably why they ran out of co2 in the first place
-noticed multiplex heavily leaking water. Found the low pressure switch sprung a leak. Didn’t have one on me, so just bypassed and cut it out since this store is going in the trash soon
-was going to replace wheels for 10:1 freezer but apparently I ordered the wrong wheels… my bad, I’ll try ordering again.

-Fixed muffin toaster againnnnnnn wires burnt off in element those wires weren’t even a week old so Brendan and I are beginning to think the element is going bad if it’s heating the wires up to breaking point but this thing is becoming a money pit

Found the heater wires on the relay melted and broke off, so the wire fell and were touching each other causing the heater to constantly run which caused the water to boil causing constant water dispensing lol. the relay also was burned up so replaced the burn pieces of wire, board, and calibrated

-Prep fridge not cooling call found old system R12 very excellent endive refrigerant found no refrigerant in system which led to doing a leak test with nitro since it was R12 I can’t use a sniffer gas so no using any probes just bubbles and going by hearing found a leak in access port which is part of the compressor so basically options are new compressor, top of with gas and keep doing that but leak seems too significant or find a special cap to go over the port letting rick deal with this cause retrofitting r12 to a drop in refrigerant is a lot of work and time consuming

10:1 freezer gave me a little bit of a mess so originally ran perfectly fine but then would stop once it hit desired temp and never turn back on found start components on the compressor bad but since I could only fit a hand in there it took forever to wire up a 3n1 starter once I did seems to be running much more smoothly and hitting temps repeatedly 

-Moved ice machine for east coast emptied 3/4 ice filled some boxes for freezer left off so store can move back on their own when it’s empty 
-Helped remove a couple screws for fry vat pan

Ice machine had to adjust the ice thickness probe again I was rushed out of here the other day and I had it set a tiny bit too low causing the ice to melt before dropping in the harvest cycle so waited with this one to make sure it dropped thickness is about 2/16 and a half and the right side evaporator takes longer to drop in harvest I believe the evaporator is on its way out with all scale and plating being ruined but it’s still making ice for now

-replaced burst section of waterline behind the ABS ice machine. It is IMPOSSIBLE to work behind there, there 0000 room without totally moving the ice machine. this is why we don’t work on ABS ice machines!

Got there and found the back flow preventer which has been bad for years so it always dribbles water down it all the time was not in the drain causing the floor to get wet the store wasn’t smart enough to look at the drain and see that either way I replaced the back flow that was bad since I noted it when fixing the drain and we ordered replaced backflow no longer leaking instructed store to dry out the area and put co2 tanks back to where they belong what’s everything is dry watched drain do its job perfectly fine the whole time I was there

-called for leak above multiplex. found water line on booster leaking. replaced hose. Also noticed that the pre filter was turned off and bypassed. When turning on the pre filter it was leaking from the built-in shutoff. New pre filter on order

-left lobby soda station troubleshooted. Found the transformer tripped so it would not dispense drinks. Narrowed down the culprit to a loose wire on one of the valves. Put the wire back on an reset the transformer all are now working
-troubleshooted fry hopper left side. Motor got stuck. Unstuck it and is now working normally
-troubleshooted IHC with slot temp error. Bad power board on order

-creamer NTF was not freezing and was temping appropriately 

-cameras got delivered to some random guys house in Lawrence even though the address was correct on the label. Had to go all the way there to pick them up and bring to the store

-cleared drain out back to the right of multiplex was clogged and filled with tons of rocks and pieces of tile after a lot of vacuuming finally broke my snake through and got the rest out and drain clean reset drain cap that was snapped of with concrete and filled around the cap with concrete set up snail fan to keep drying it for next 24 hours but it’s draining and hopefully sealed will last a year

- back in the same grill from yesterday found out something was shorting it ended up being the hi limit hitting bare metal replaced hi limit and relay which blew cause of it now it’s shorting on the opposite side after the hi limit which means it’s not blowing any parts so that’s good but there’s just literally no insulation left to seperste the metals from grounding to each other so leaving this for Taylor to fix not sure if they have to pull the whole motor and replace the insulation piece or if they have some type of alternative insulation fix

-troubleshooted why blue sloshie wasnt miving nor dispessing and it said that it was out stock even thought the cage was full- the automatic change over valve was closed.
-the kitchen screens didnt have audio, the cable was disconnected.

This one took a little bit to get had to snake mop sink and dish sink drains and then once I cleared the block it was a very slow drain so had to snake again and then run 3 cycles of drain cleaner made sure mop sink could drain dishwasher could run and drain and washing machine could hold water and drain without backing up 

Emergency drain service abs cleared and dumped 5 gal bucket down

-wanted to take a second look at multiplex. Found a small leak in circ pump. Will fix that tomorrow to help improve the situation but still getting multiplex replaced due to the leaking caused by the water bin and insulation.

-opposite men’s room sink wasn’t working at all upon arrival found twisted water line from solenoid fixed that and bad mixer valve replaced that and swapped water lines

-Tried finding water leak in the wall / floor narrowed down to the corner of the grill but can’t find exactly where having east coast take a look

Back up fry freezer was diagnosed a day or two ago by me bad defrost timer installed new and watched it drop from 78 degrees to 50 ltoldnstore to use if it goes below 10 and to notify Brendan what temp it gets down too 

On part like 6 of this multiplex causing problems got it vacuumed around 300 microns nearly perfect put a charge in it around 11 pounds 10 ounces and guessed the other 6 ounces since I had no pressure to force the refrigerant in on the scale, then walk away to start on the filet steamer come back at little later went from 95 to 58 but then back up to 64 was like what happened found the agitator stopped spinning then started up again then stopped pulled agitator out adgjusted the pipe so water was flowing through it then started going down again as I’m leaving it’s at 40.8 degrees should continue to go down just can’t baby sit it 
Filet steamer replaced water solenoid which was what’s leaking but water solenoid went over main board and display board from leaking replaced main board since I carried one in van but don’t have a display so will order and replaced the water inlet to filet cause those always snap off when working on it from being crusty 


-Leak tested multiplex with leak detector twice on bottom water bay came up with nothing and went on roof for Mac unit also came up with nothing should be all clear of any leaks of refrigerant

-found multiplex with no charged at 95 degrees which originally we knew it was leaking but assumed it had been for a long long time and it was a small tiny leak but since after 2 weeks it’s got no charge began leak testing and after a bit of searching found a break in the line brazed it back together and then went to go use my vacumm to take the nitrogen out of the system and my vacation started to spit oil everywhere and still tried to get it to work put my micron gauge on yeah it was making the system have more air in it instead of taking it out need to come back after getting new vacumm pump and new tank of R404

-ABS superseal kit came loose causing conveyor not to spin. Took off motor and tightened. Also replaced ABS conveyor because of a broken plastic piece

-troubleshooted emergency light in lobby vestibule. Somehow it was wired wrong. Corrected the wiring, but need to wait for the battery to charge to see if it will work. It could have killed the batter or lamps with how it was wired

-troubleshooted oven. NTF. Temped out correctly, timer working accurately, even the pies in the merchandiser looked normal.

-troubleshooted microwave but NTF

-Found freezer with no charge in it thought was weird don’t have any nitrogen so put a charge in found the leak was between condenser bulb line and compressor vapor line they rubbed together due to vibration overtime and both got holes in it recovered the charge confirmed with leak detector it wasn’t just condensate dripping and gonna have to come back when I get a new tank of nitro since brazing without nitro can damage other components and make a simple fix turn more costly 

-cut out and removed old compressor and drier filter brazed on the compressor line extensions and access port brazed on access port for filter drier ran out of nitrogen so couldn’t braze anymore set up all the new copper line and expanded line sets once I get the nitrogen just have to braze 4 more spots then pressure test then charge and it should be good to go 

Stopped by to check on multiplex at 33.6 degrees and has a perfect ice bath going had to add 1 Lb the other day since the data plate calls for 11 pounds then you need to factor in 25 feet of line to the roof which is about a pound since .72x25 =18 ounces 

Frappe machine refrigeration was too warm the back of the unit was upside down for starters so no airflow could get out of the condenser and then took out charge and re weighed new charge in been temping at 36 for 20 mins calling it good 

Unit will need new EPRs I n future last company striped them 

-New muffin toaster element with Brendan was an absolute nightmare having two experience techs trying to go as fast as we can and we had to basically dissemble the whole unit and rebuild it from a piece of metal 

-Recovered all refrigerant in system about 12 Oz waiting for compressor to arrive and install for front refrigerator found out that because of the inefficient compressor it looked like a bad txv which does explain my 230 degree liquid line which I’ve never seen before 

Long time on the grills basically needs a whole entire new air system everything in there breaks whenever you touch it replaced all airlines and got no airflow to the regulator so gotta replace compressor all the way to regulator

-Soent some more time on lees refrigerator in window put gauges on find super high low side and high head pressure checked and cleaned condenser this did help it like 10-15 psig but 105 for the low side when it should be around 55 is ridiculous so I’m thinking bad TXV but this is the second time ever working on a txv and first time was the multiplex this week so having Rick come and make sure I’m right before any further work 

- completed freezer door panel installation 

-Had to drive around to get a recovery tank since mine was contaminated for 404a finally got it then found out that the store didn’t even have the multiplex on…… so they turned it on this morning and to get it cold faster they kept dumping buckets of ice in it….. so just messed up everything pulled the charge from it found out it was basically a perfect charge but I couldn’t know since they messed with it multiple times took out charge and put the charge back in and much literally took forever and vacuumed system down whole thing was a mess that the store could’ve easily solved if they weren’t being dumb 

- picked up and started to replace the inner freezer door panel 

-Fromt dt window wall refrigerator not running at 75 degrees got it running installed a temporary 3 n 1 it’s held together by just electrical tape at the moment got the compressor running which originally it would turn off instantly went down to 60 degrees gonna check on it in a couple hours since it’s a txv system r404a so it’s regulated and not gonna instantly drop to its set point

Spent a little while on the multiplex first real txv system I’ve worked on so was definitely interesting learned that you always need to weigh the charge on TXVs so was something overcharged the unit at first and had to take some out it’s actively gone from 96 degrees to 62 so we are leaving it and gonna check back since it still might be slightly overcharged right now

On days like this I’m reminded that I’m not a plumber, but anyways took out old drains of 3 bay sink installed 3 new ones and silicones those on the top then had to replumb the whole thing back to the grease box was a hot mess and a lot of work and a lot of cutting plumbers make it look easy but good lord that was a lot and then leak tested by holding water 2 times in each bay for five minutes then draining them and checked for leaks then ran water from faucet down all the drains for another leak test after confirming no leaks found it should be good (praying no call back on this sink for the rest of my life cause that was miserable)

-troubleshooted bun steamer. Hi limit tripped, I reset it and it came up to temp and didn’t overshoot so hoping it was a fluke

-troubleshooted satelite brewer. NTF filling the dispenser totally normally
-troubleshooted bulk ice machine. Taking over 20min for a freeze cycle very slow. Probably low on charge as well

Was told ice machine wasn’t working after I went for it last week but got in took cover of it was full of ice asked if they filled it nobody knows / said no and then it literally made ice as I was standing there with will soooo NTF

I’ve machine service call for Libby left one was working and full of ice right one well evaporator was only getting to 60 degrees sounded like a roof problem went on the roof and you know got the cover off the unit was greeted by two wasp nest filled with wasp alright got wasp spray killed over 10 of them and sprayed 3 nest boom start diagnosing capacitor was good fan motor not running which is why it’s not cooling trying to grab amp draw boom 4 more wasp show up I’m doing laps around this roof cause that 4ultiplied okay kill some more decide that I def don’t get paid enough for this which I never say that but getting chased by swarms of wasp wasn’t on the bucket list so I’m going to get off the roof and AWESOME there’s a wasp nest on the roof hatch ladder then I start debating the fact I’m almost out of wasp spray odds were not looking good decided packaged up the unit put all the tools together and sprayed the rest and got off the roof as fast as possible 

Respectfully I never wanna go on derrys roof again unless it’s winter because every unit has multiple wasp nest in it

-added and aimed the remaining three cameras. Installed hdmi splitter for cbb merge monitor, and cleaned up wires in office

Ice machine down turned off and on to begin it was making ice coil getting to about 32 degrees on the dot was about 10 minute freeze time 1 minute harvest time which is in the areas of good for the ice machine adjusted thickness probe a couple times and had to wait for ice to be made on each time think I got it in the perfect spot for a good ice bridge to form gonna check back at the end of my day to make sure it’s full and didn’t error out on anything 

-Told coffee brewer wasn’t working came in was in service mode unplugged and plugged back in and waited for it to warm up and brew 3 pots 

-replaced water booster pump and check valve. Water pressure good all equipment working

-Fixed muffin toaster heat b failure waited for it to heat up which it did no error code workings great pulling 6.6 amps 
-Orange juice new contactor I didn’t diagnose it soooo had to learn the stupid Taylor orange juice machine which is STUPID like top 10 dumbest designs which is why the NH stores don’t have that piece of trash but found the part replaced waited for cabinet temp to hit 40 and called it good  (store had product sitting in it at 60 degrees for idk how long which sounds very food safe)

-these absolutely nonsense ABS calls have to stop. I get the text that the ABS is acting up. I immediately look at the cameras (because I know they are full of bologna) and notice that SHOCKER they are using it totally normal... Get to the store and still everything is perfectly fine. "Acting up" is not a valid ticket. Machines do not work perfectly 100% of the time, just like computers they need to be turned off and on once in a while. Literally I am writing someone up the next time someone puts such a preposterous ticket. This store is wasting everyone's time with these ridiculous tickets.
-Melitta critical error caused be hot water solenoid leaking onto flowmeter and causing the connector and harness to rust and fail. Parts on order

-was called for AC off and apparently the thermostats were locked. I arrived and the lobby was entirely off but the thermostat was not locked so not sure why they just didn't turn it on. Adjusted other temps to be bearable. hung around for a little to make sure it was cooling and it was...

-emergency call for stockroom flooding from back flow preventer but I arrived and there was nothing everything dry as a bone...

-Came for shake machine ice cream side not seeing door was working when I got there 
-Spent some time looking for the other companies shake machine tune up kit that we want to return 
-Store was saying that they were being shocked by the refrigerator in grill oven and moffat which I thought like shenanigans started with the fridge cause that’s what the store was convinced it was when checking the outlet found the ground in the outlet to be fully corroded away which if there was no ground couple be shocking the outside so that was a major problem thought that was it then when moving the oven got shocked so there was two major shocking problems found in the oven 120 VAC wire for the fan fell off wouldn’t of even been noticeable if it didn’t hit the side and zap you so cut off old metal terminal replaced with plastic hooked up tested all set then jumped into the moffat since I already went through 2/3 pieces mine as well be certain that everything all good did each leg to ground and ground to ground make sure no splits in the plug or anything moffat came back fine outlet for moffat was a little sketchy with L2 to ground but I think the plug is just getting old / dirty but nothing to be concerned about since it all came back good

-Was originally gonna say order a new dish sink between the drains needing to be replaced and the welding for the sink and the pipes needing new fitting but talked to Brendan since McDonald’s may break down the wall next to it for a longer sink for the dishwasher it doesn’t make sense to order the exact same sink just to replace it with a bigger one in a couple years so gonna order new drains and redo everything when it all comes in

Second drain for ice machine gave me a super hard time snaked and drain cleaned multiple times till I got it to not overflow at all got it so ice machine and drain all into it no problem or back spill showed Lynn how to use drain o thinking of having them make it a weekly routine to put some down the drain since they have had this happen multiple times 

-replaced ped13. Also replaced and mounted new paddle

-installed new frappe motor was a pain doing it all blind and going off feeling 
-Grill fridge water going everywhere was from multiple things I found so sweating compressor and wasn’t hot signs of someone who was here last over charged it, that itself can kill a compressor ohmed out compressor it was still alive and pulling amps took out a little bit of refrigerant to desired point still having the problem inspected evaporator fan and evaporator didn’t see anything sticking out so pulled the charge from unit and vacuumed down to 500 microns or less twice put in a new fresh charge turned on came down to temp then didn’t turn on found a bad 3n1 ofc something else broke replaced that came down to temp working fine messed with the thermostat gauge a decent bit found the perfect point between 34-40 degrees told them not to touch it it still ices up a tiny bit when compressor is calling but right after it hits desired temp any frost goes away without dripping any water vs the flooding before 

Under ABS was leaking. The drain hose was entirely out of the drain

-troubleshooted oj machine and the problem was that the water pressure is to low so to fix it the water bosster pump is broken: needs replacement
-replaced batteries on water fountait senson 

-troubleshooted OJ machine not dispensing. Found water booster with failed pump. on order.

-troubleshooted ABS cup jam error. Syrupy connector for lift cylinder sensor. Cut connector out and replaced with ICD crimp
-troubleshooted juice machine. Found a bad refrigeration relay. on order

Troubleshooted abs machine. The arm didnt want to close. The problem was that the connector was wrong.

- installed new door sweep on back door 

- replaced two by four light above present window
- re installed light in men’s room 

Qing oven diagnosed bad auto transformer shorted between 230 to 0 

-Bought a new led troffer must have a miscommunication with jim since he already fixed it 
-found bad ketchup pump and ordered

-replaced 3 board corral 
-cleaned delivery doar and apllied bomdo and primed it
-Found and reolaced cover for thr drain next to the shake machine
-Replaced wather strip on the delivery door
-Grouted women bathrooms walls

-replaced led light.

Installed new grill 1 platen 1 interface board ($1100) got platen 1 working re leveled it about 5 times make sure nothing went wrong 
-I guess platen 2 isn’t working now also whole different issue not reaching heat on the front I diagnosed to the extent of the heat relay which is heating so hi limit or had element called Taylor they can service it seems like it’s a full day of work just for that part 
- diagnosed behind counter lobby soda auger was tripping breaker everytime found bad motor capacitor was still good ordered new was like 1200 think Brendan got for 600 but crazy how much money is going into the newest store we have 

- replaced three boards on corral
- prepped and applied bondo on delivery door  bottoms 
- sourced and installed cover for floor drain next to shake machine 
- replaced delivery door weatherstripping 
- grouted ladies room walls
